Sagadi is probably one of the most most dashing manorial estates in Estonia. The manor is located on the northern coast of Estonia and is surrounded by the beautiful nature of Lahemaa National Park. The history of the estate dates back more than 500 years. Sagadi Manor has charmed visitors with the unique pond behind the mansion. The coins thrown to the pond from the bridge have magical ability to strength love relations or find expected love. Certainly it isn’t a fairytale as all relations entered into the marriage on the shore of the pond are happily together till these days. Sagadi Manorial Estate consists of several buildings that have been carefully restored and are today managed by the State Forest Management Centre. Sagadi Manor house dates from to the18th century and functions as a museum today. Sagadi hotel is located in the historic circular stables building. The storage and coach house of the estate houses the Forest Museum of Estonia.
There are numerous fishermen villages in the surrounding area at the coast, nature treks and passages, and also several other renovated manorial estates well worth visiting. And the beautiful sandy beaches are only mere 6 km away.
